NUS Exam Results Year 3 Sem 2

Opened my results page, don't dare to look. Then I looked and my hands started shaking because

I NOW QUALIFY FOR 2ND LOWER CLASS HONOURS!

Oh thank you!

Module Code Module Title Grade
GEM2901 Reporting Statistics in the Media B
MA1312 Calculus with Applications B+
PL3241 Personality & Individual Differences A-
PL3242 Health Psychology B-
PL3253 Psychobiological Perspectives on Emotion A+
SW1101E Introduction to Social Work A

CAP: 3.6

Health Psychology was a little disappointing with that B- but not too bad. I'm relieved with the GEM2901 Statistics module because I really thought I was going to screw it. Also extremely relieved with that math module which was supposed to be simple (and which it really was) but if you remember I screwed it up on the day itself because I had 2 papers on that day. I'm really surprised with SW1101 Social Work. I think the presentation and final paper's essay must have helped me quite a bit. I kind of expected a B+ for Personality Psychology though actually hoping for an A-, so that I actually got an A- is a pleasant surprise. Yes, I see your jaws dropping at that A+. That was very much expected actually because I got an A for mid-term and the finals' MCQ were very, very manageable.

6 modules in 1 semester is no joke, but I think the modules I took were pretty manageable, thankfully! After my CAP had dropped so much, it was good to see it rise up again. Wow, hard work really pays. I've never really understood that before.

Now I've got something to lose and the pressure will be back again next semester. This time round I won't let it drop!

Oh I forgot to say, now that my results have not battered my self-esteem/worth, I shall now approach the project my crush has assigned me and suffer a battering through there. At least looking at him is a joy while I suffer an inner battering.

No Social life

I must have more of a social life! I would probably have more of it if I didn't have this knee problem. Then I can go skating and running and whatever else which requires physical activity.

Ok, that was an excuse.

FYI, I don't like shopping or going to Karaoke. And truthfully, ever since I went to that skating session with Bao Ling, I have kind of fallen in love with skating. But I am really unable to skate for anything longer than an hour or so because my knee acts up so badly I actually limp. And I miss running. That day I went for a short jog. I went like 400m before my knee started hurting already. Dammit. 400m only! I use to do 2.4km without a problem (ok, maybe a little) and still be able to do more!

^#$%@#

Sob. My stamina is lousy, my muscles are all flabby, I'm cultivating a tummy, my legs are wobbly and I swim horribly. Ooh, that rhymes!

I have problems swimming freestyle and there's nobody to guide me!

Ok, that's all. Such an incoherent post!

The point of me logging in to blog is actually to say it's 12 hours to the release of exam results and I'm nervous and I have been telling people my crush is cute and capable. I'm not sure how the topic became my social life...

36 hours

It's about 36 hours to the release of my exam results and I'm really nervous.

This one decides whether I make or break 2nd lower Honours. I think there is a possibility I might just drop again. Sigh.

Some lessons really take a lot of money, don't they?

Results day

Accidentally fell asleep while having supper last night with aunt and family. Finally had a good sleep and just woke up an hour ago. Anyway, results are finally out and as usual, I'm openly declaring them. Here, if you are curious:

2007/2008 Sem 1 Examination for ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES 2

Module Code Module Title Grade
PL3233 Cognitive Psychology B+
PL3244 Adolescent Psychology B-
PL3254 Introduction to Trauma Psychology C+
PL3282B Lab in Person and Group Cognition B
SC2101 Methods of Social Research B

CAP: 3.46

After so long, I'm still an ARS2 student, it's quite depressing. Surprisingly my lowest grade was by my own major module. And I didn't flunk SC2101 or anything else, which I'm glad of. Cognitive Psychology and Adolescent Psychology results are to be expected. So that's only 2 out of 3 modules whose final result are within expectations. Well, that's the bell curve for you.

The most depressing thing is my CAP dropped by 0.04 points. Ah, oh well.

NUS results - Year 2 Sem 2

I have never gotten so horrible results in my entire. studying. life. Yes, I am one of those who either scores As or Bs. KNN, first time I got an F.

2006/2007 Sem 2 Examination for ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES 2

Module Code Module Title Grade
GEK1524 Living With Fluids S
PL3232 Biological Psychology B-
PL3233 Cognitive Psychology F
PL3234 Developmental Psychology B
PL3236 Abnormal Psychology B

CAP: 3.5

B for Developmental Psychology? What the heck! I thought I did quite well in the paper! Thought that at least warranted a B+! Luckily didn't do that badly for Abnormal Psychology. And a B- for Biological Psychology?! &$%^#^% Ok, that is completely unexpected. F for Cognitive Psychology... hmm, whatever. And my S/U actually saved my CAP for this semester. At least CAP did not fall below 2nd lower. For that, I'm immensely glad.

Don't know how I can get through another semester of intense studying like that. *pulls hair*

NUS Year 2 sem 1 results

Totally unexpected.

2006/2007 Sem 1 Examination for ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES 2

Module Code Module Title Grade
GEK1519 Science of Music A-
PC1141 Physics I B-
PL2132 Research and Statistical Methods II B-
PL3235 Social Psychology A
SC1101E Making Sense of Society B-

CAP: 3.77

Relieved, elated. CAP dropped only 0.03 points and not a single C in sight. Couldn't have asked for more. (Btw, I must be the first among my friends to have scored this score for sociology. Extremely lousy. Just glad that I didn't fail it.)

Sigh, another new semester soon. Dreading it.

wet blanket

A wet blanket to the previous post.

Christmas is yet another over-blown holiday. Another excuse to spend and party, another public holiday on the calendar.

Oh all 3 sets of today's show was cancelled. So we got allowance for going there and sitting in the room to enjoy the aircon. Damien treated us to dinner at a Peranakan restaurant too. Fantastic dinner.

Didn't wish for Christmas to come because don't want 26th December, results day, to come too. Boxing day, indeed. I'm sure I'll get boxed by my results. Maybe should get a pair of sunglasses.

Results nightmare

So many blogs talking about results and so many friends (and one cousin) talking about results that last night I think I had a nightmare on results. Initially I didn't even bother thinking about the results, don't even want to see the "fake results" or "leaked out results" or whatever results that people were talking about. I really don't understand why so many of my friends and others are upset that they didn't get a glimpse of their results on that now-removed-website. Isn't it good to have your freedom and no worries days prolonged just a little bit longer? Ok maybe they were equally nervous before knowing their results as well, but I think that's because they really gave their best during the exams. I just hope I don't fail sociology (cause it was shit on my paper), get at least a C for the other 2 modules and if possible As for the only 2 modules I am (very) confident in.

ARGH! Talking about results is freaking me out and reminding me how badly I did during the exams!! Stop stop stop! I should be enjoying myself! I don't want another nightmare tonight.

Breathe! Breathe!

I don't want school to start anytime soon. =( I really really like my days the way they are now.
